Clear English Communication for DACH-based clients
Welcome to my website. I’m Patrick Howse, a media consultant, independent writer, and translator with over two decades of experience reporting from the front lines of global events.
As a former BBC journalist and international news editor, I’ve led news-gathering teams in some of the world’s most challenging environments, including conflict zones. Today, I bring that same precision, resilience, and editorial clarity to every project I undertake. I have been living and working in Munich since 2018, mainly serving clients in the DACH area (the three main German-speaking countries in Europe).
Media Consulting
I help organizations shape effective media strategies and compelling editorial narratives. Whether you're an NGO, a brand navigating complex issues, or an ambitious professional seeking to develop new skills, I offer seasoned advice rooted in real-world experience.
I prepare clients for media interviews, helping them communicate with clarity, authority, and composure. With a deep understanding of broadcast requirements, I advise on how to offer strong visual sequences for TV crews and compelling audio for radio, so your message lands powerfully.
Independent Writing
From journalism to thought leadership and long form features, I write with impact and authenticity. My work draws on my field experience and sharp understanding of world affairs, politics, and history.
If you need a ghost-writer for professional magazine articles, blogs, and executive platforms, I can help you share your expertise with clarity, credibility, and a distinctive voice. As a published poet, I bring a unique sensitivity to language, rhythm, and tone, and this enriches my work with emotional resonance.
Translation (DE → EN)
I offer precise and culturally sensitive German-to-English translations for journalism and complex editorial content. My translations don’t just convey meaning, they capture tone, nuance, and voice.
I am particularly keen to help people committed to the Green transition and democratic values.
